About The Event

We are very pleased to announce our first issues/practice networking event for December 4, 2025 at 10 am EST via Zoom.


Four IWAC members will start the discussions with brief presentations:


Ragini Sahai, an educator and development sector consultant with over 25 years of experience in the social development sector, addresses funding challenges and responses.

Bidyut Mohanty, feminist economist and head of Women Studies at the Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, discusses women's challenges in rice culture.

Suzanne Hanchett, IWAC co-president, anthropologist, development consultant and prolific author, summarizes the critical topics raised by participants at the World Anthropological Union Congress in Antigua, Guatemala, in November 2025.

Mary Goldsmith, professor and feminist anthropologist in Mexico City, discusses her work on domestic labor in Mexico.
